GL-TTP is designed to benefit both the research and the industry sectors of the international grain legume community. On the one hand, the technology transfer projects should stimulate and support new research programmes, and add value to the results of past research activities. On the other hand, they should provide industrialists with more knowledge and better technologies to boost their activities and eventually improve the yield of grain legume crops and the quality of grain legume products.

Therefore, GL-TTP welcomes members from:

Scientific community

1- Research institutes partners of GLIP
(since GL-TTP was initiated by GLIP, GLIP partners are expected to be at the core of the science section of GL-TTP)
2- Other institutes with research programmes relevant to grain legumes
3- Other organisations involved in national or international research programmes, consortia, alliances or networks on grain legumes
(e.g. GENOPLANTE, GABI, CLIMA, CILR, CATG, GL-PRO, EUFABA, AQUARHIZ, Healthy-Profood, Phaseomics…)
4- International agricultural research centres from the CGIAR and national programmes in developing countries

Industry
1- Legume breeders
(the GL-TTP activities are primarily focused on grain legumes, but forage and vegetable breeders should also benefit from the platform)
2- Plant biotechnology companies
(service providers for the implementation of the technology transfer programmes proposed by the GL-TTP)
3- Technical institutes for applied research on the conduct of cultivation
(aimed at ensuring sustainable crop management)
4- End-users
(mostly feed and food industries but others, involved in pharming or bio-energy for example, are welcome to join the platform)
