Current and prospective members of GL-TTP were invited to the first General Assembly, held on February 22, 2006, in Montpellier, France. The meeting took place as part of the second annual meeting of European Grain Legumes Integrated Project (GLIP), to allow current and prospective members of GL-TTP to attend the open sessions of GLIP. Noel Ellis, the coordinator of GLIP and current President of GL-TTP, presided over the meeting.

The first session aimed to present GL-TTP in the context of the global market and to give the perspectives of a European breeder. The creation and current status of GL-TTP was described and its specific functions for exploitation of GLIP results developed.

The second session fulfilled the official functions of the General Assembly. Legal matters concerning GL-TTP statutes and staff employment were reviewed and updated. The accountancy was presented, and proposals for transfer procedures and intellectual property management were discussed.
