Dissemination of state-of-the-art technologies
GL-TTP is a prescriber of MAS (marker-assisted selection): In consultation with research scientists, GL-TTP proposes and encourages the use of high-throughput, simple, robust, reliable, cost-effective tools for large scale plant DNA/RNA extraction, stabilisation, transport and storage, sequencing and genotyping for molecular diagnostic, fingerprinting, evaluation of genetic diversity, traceability.

A large number of breeders of grain legumes have yet to integrate the use of molecular technologies in their breeding strategy. GL-TTP aims to help those companies in this technological transition. Companies that sponsor GL-TTP will have their products directly advertised to the GL-TTP members when they have to select new technologies, lab equipments, kits and reagents.

Good visibility
GL-TTP attends multiple conferences and has direct access to a broad international network of research scientists and plant breeders, with currently 82 member-organisations worldwide, and a network of ~4,000 individual contacts in the international grain legume community.
